Welcome!

Hi there,

Hillary Windsor here. I’m a Cape Breton-turned-Haligonian with a love for writing, telling people’s stories and learning more about the those around me.

I graduated with my Bachelor of Journalism (Hons.) in 2012 after finishing a stint as an editorial intern with Canadian Geographic, then went on to be the general manager of local community monthly, SNAP Dartmouth.

Since then, I’ve moved on to reporting and am currently the morning news reporter with News95.7 radio in Halifax, and also spend much of my time freelancing with various print publications.

This past summer, I co-started a blog about our city’s rich history at thehalifacts.ca, and so far, it’s been featured on Global Halifax‘s Morning News, News95.7‘s Sheldon MacLeod Show andC100‘s Breakfast Club.

Take a look around the site — you’ll mostly just find radio and print work — hope you enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by,

Hillary
